Pre-licensure Support
You can start the registration process while you are still in your home country, and you may choose to start your RN and LPN registration at the same time. Make sure to prepare ahead and start early before coming to Nova Scotia.
The Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia offers the IEN Orientation Program and various pre-arrival support services for new immigrants at no cost. These services include:

Orientation to the Canadian workplace culture
Facilitated and self-directed communication courses
Access to professional mentors
Translation services
