In Nova Scotia, IENs contribute to a strengthened health workforce; however, a majority of them experience difficulties in integrating into the workplace. In shaping future health workforce planning, it is crucial to understand the experiences of IENs in integrating into the provincial nursing workforce. Therefore, the NSIENN is leading this important work with funding from the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness to explore IENs’ licensure experiences, job satisfaction, experience of workplace discrimination and harassment, intention to leave nursing, and professional quality of life.
